What is ‘User Experience’?

User experience or ‘UX’ includes all areas of a user’s interaction with a company and its website, service or product.

Why you should care about it

If you don’t care about your customer’s experience then it’s very possible that they won’t care much about what you have to offer.

Whether you’re shopping at the supermarket or looking for a price on a website you will, both consciously and subconsciously, form judgements based on your experiences.  These judgements will have a huge bearing on your overall opinion and ultimately whether you choose to make a purchase or take the next step.

Usability testing is something that should be done right at the beginning of the project, all the way through and even after launch.  The more testing you do, the more issues you’ll discover before it’s too late.  A lot of time and money can be saved later down the line if you perform regular tests throughout the planning as well as during the build.

Despite some peoples preconceptions of usability testing, it doesn’t have to cost thousands of pounds and involve labs with video cameras, computers and numerous staff.  We can conduct the testing wherever you like, all we need is a laptop and an experienced tester.
