What is photo retouching?

In today’s world of digital technology inexpensive, even free software places the ability of retouching and photo manipulation into the hands of the enthusiastic amateur. In short, we can all fiddle with our photos.

There’s nothing new about image manipulation, it’s been practiced since the early days of photography. But now digital technology means photographic editing can be performed by almost anyone with the will and the professional can virtually work miracles.

What we do?

In photography the distinction between the amateur and the professional is the same as it’s always been. A picture taken by an enthusiast will hardly ever match the results of the pro in terms of composition, lighting, exposure, background, precision focusing, lens choice and an eagle eye for the perfect moment to trip the shutter.

Likewise with image manipulation the skill of professionals and their mastery of sophisticated tools will produce results that will almost always eclipse the efforts of the most ambitious amateur.
