You thought a phone capable of planning your life was great, well how about an 'app' that helps rid you of homosexual thoughts - yep, theres an app for that!
Ridiculous as it sounds, Exodus International, a religious organisation operating from America, developed an iPhone application that helped you control and mask any sexual thoughts about members of the same sex. I'm not entirely sure how it set about this task as its been removed from the iTunes app store.
Apple have ditched the app from their store, stating “We removed the Exodus International app from the App Store because it violates our developer guidelines by being offensive to large groups of people.”
Exodus claims in its mission statement "Exodus upholds heterosexuality as God’s creative intent for humanity, and subsequently views homosexual expression as outside of God’s will. Exodus cites homosexual tendencies as one of many conditions that beset fallen humanity."
Fortunately for the beneift of 'humanity', more than 100,000 people signed an online petition calling for the app to be removed.
It seems there is no end to the capabilities of a telephone these days...
